We can create a smile that beautifully complements your natural features with custom porcelain veneers. At Semidey Dental, our philosophy is simple: we design smiles that look like you, not like veneers. Every case goes through our signature 4-Step Smile Test to ensure your new smile feels authentic, balanced, and uniquely yours.
We begin by learning what you want your smile to express. Using your facial features, lip dynamics, and personal style, we design a look that enhances you; never something “fake” or one-size-fits-all.
Before any teeth are prepared, we create a custom mock-up so you can test drive your future smile for a full week. You can talk, smile, laugh, and take selfies to make sure it feels natural and true to who you are.
Once you approve your design, we gently smooth a very small amount of enamel; modern veneers require only minimal preparation. Then we take ultra-precise 3D digital scans so our ceramists can craft porcelain veneers that fit flawlessly and look incredibly lifelike. You’ll leave with temporaries that reflect your approved design.
At your final visit, each veneer is tried in and perfected with micro-adjustments until everything blends seamlessly. When you love what you see, and it looks like the best version of your natural smile, we bond them securely in place.
Each veneer is a very thin wafer of dental material. The veneer is customized to fit your tooth and to blend in with your smile. Most often, veneers are made from porcelain. These thin layers of porcelain are applied and then bonded securely to the front surfaces of each cosmetically “imperfect” tooth. Once the veneer covers up the tooth, the chips or other flaws can no longer be seen when you smile.
Porcelain is the perfect blend of cosmetic and functional. Advanced dental ceramics like porcelain are known for their strength and durability. Also, we can seamlessly match the color of the porcelain to the rest of the tooth and its neighboring teeth. Dentists like Dr. Alex and Dr. Sara appreciate that few materials “mimic” the characteristics of natural enamel as well, in terms of translucency and light reflectivity. Patients appreciate that porcelain resists stains well, too.
It depends. While veneers are known for their versatility, we may need to explore alternatives such as Invisalign® if you have bigger gaps or more severe alignment issues. Or, we may need to look at restorative dental work (like crowns) if you have more severe chips, cracks, and wear and tear. Veneers may generally be used to cover up more modest signs of wear, spacing issues, and stubborn or very dark discoloration. We can even shape the porcelain in a way that resizes an undersized or narrow tooth, or that reshapes a tooth that is jagged or with poor contours.
