Dr. Alex Semidey, DMD

Dr. Alex is a South Florida native, graduating from the University of Florida in 2010 with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (Go Gators!). With a passion for wanting to do dentistry the right way – in a relaxed setting with time dedicated to each patient – he opened Semidey Dental in 2011 within the heart of Davie, Florida.
His education didn’t stop with earning his dental degree. Dr. Alex spends beyond the required license hours each year to further his knowledge and keep up to date with dentistry’s best practices. He has even gone on to earn his Fellowship with the International Dental Implant Association, showcasing his dedication to implementing the best techniques for patient care.
In 2012, not long after opening Semidey Dental, he married Kate (his reported greatest win) and they now have two fantastic children, Jordi and Isa. Dr. Alex loves carpentry, DIY projects (that he often happily ropes the whole family into helping with!), and tinkering with things to see how they work or how to improve them. These hobbies are seen all throughout the dental office – from improving the physical environment with little touch ups and remodels to the systems that keep everything running smoothly.
As a practice owner, he is dedicated to fostering employee growth, giving every team member the tools to further their own education. He is further blessed with the opportunity to mentor future dentists within the Davie community, helping them gain insight into building successful practices as well. As a dentist, his pride is in being able to educate and empower patients and residents within the Davie community on their oral health. He has a focus on nurturing relationships with other small business owners and the desire to see everyone grow together. And, if he sees you on the street, he may just tell you to ‘smile, it looks good on you’!
